Privacy Policy for The Wrinkle Map
This is a plain language summary and not legal advice.
I collect your quiz details and the answers you submit. Client records stay with your company. Leadership results stay hidden until leaders submit their ratings. Team members see only their own answers and comments, even after submission. Team members never see each other's answers. Customer comments stay with me. Ask me to delete your information.
What is collected
The quiz. I collect your name, work email, company and answers. I use them to send your result if you tick the results box. I send occasional notes from Erin Rood Operations only if you tick the separate notes box.
Accounts and invitations. I keep your name, email, job title and role when you are invited to a company. Your role is leadership, CEO or team. An invitation can include a second email address. You can sign in with either.
Ratings. Your scorecard ratings, tied to your name. Each area also has an optional one line comment. A comment you add is readable only by you and me, never by leadership, the CEO or other team members, and never shown with your name to anyone but me.
An AI tool reads your company's answers and notes to spot where people disagree. I review every flag first. Leadership sees a flag only after I release it. They never see who said it. Uploaded files are never sent to the AI.
What I write about your company. I record what I find, the fixes and the evidence behind them. I write down who owns each step, how the work gets done and the report.
Progress on fixes. I record the kind of work we agreed to do and where it stands. I keep dated check ins and plans for who takes over when someone leaves. I record each fix's status over time by owner role. I keep private links to owner accounts and private update notes. I record actual dollar amounts, evidence that links findings, and dates when people started working around a problem.
Uploaded files. I upload customer satisfaction surveys and culture surveys, such as engagement, pulse, implementation and exit surveys. My browser reads the files. The imported rows are saved privately to the assessment. The original file is not saved.
Who can see what
Me, Erin Rood. I run the diagnostic. I can see everything for every client, including individual answers and uploaded comments.
Client leadership. Leaders see only their own company's assessments, reports, fixes, owners, processes and survey summaries. They see every segment and account name from their own customer file, with its count and score. Customer comments stay with me. Culture survey groups need at least three responses unless I allow small group results. The CEO is part of the leadership group and starts with exactly this access. I can switch on three extras for the CEO, one at a time: reading customer voice comments, seeing individual answers by name, and approving fixes and assigning owners. Each starts off and only I can change it.
Team members see only their own ratings and comments, never results, scorecards, findings, fixes, reports, briefs or dollar figures. Leadership briefs the team on results. Team members never see each other's individual answers or comments.
Fix owners. I can privately link a client account to a fix. A leadership member assigned to a fix sees only the assigned fix title, owner role and status. They can leave a one line update while client editing is allowed. Only I see the link to their account. Only the person who wrote an update and I see that note. Leadership sees status changes by owner role and recorded actual dollars. They do not see another person's private update note.
Score context. Answer counts and ranges follow the assessment's small group setting. Ranges appear only with five or more answers. Team members see no answer counts, ranges or results. Only leadership and I see links between findings and weekly check ins.
Visibility settings. I control two optional settings for each assessment: showing results for small groups and letting leadership see individual named answers. Both start off. The current settings are shown on the assessment. If I allow small group results, raters are told their group is small and their answers may be identifiable.
Not signed in. Anyone can take the quiz and view the public demo. The demo contains only fictional data about a fictional company.
How long things are kept
Customer feedback and culture survey uploads stay on the assessment until I explicitly delete them. Closing an assessment deletes nothing. Quiz leads stay until you ask me to delete them.
When our work ends, the client history stays. Client access becomes read only under the same privacy settings. I can allow editing again. I cannot reconstruct records from before tracking began.
Services I use
An email service sends quiz results. Fonts load from a font service. The app and its records are held by a hosting service.
Cookies and browser storage details
Sign in storage. Needed to keep you signed in. Your browser keeps your sign in session until you sign out. A temporary sign in check can also be stored while a link is being confirmed. The editor preview can share the session with its trusted editor.
Submission protection. A random browser identifier lasts one day and limits repeated quiz and sign in attempts. It does not contain your email. The app also counts attempts using protected email and browser identifiers.
Temporary page state. Your finished quiz result stays in this browser tab until the tab closes. Answers being entered, file previews and loaded client records are held while the page is open.
Connected services. Fonts receive ordinary connection details when they load. The email service receives the details needed to send your results. The hosting service can receive error reports with the page path and error details.
The app does not add advertising cookies or marketing trackers. No optional cookie is used by the active screens.
Client downloads
I can download a private copy of a client's assessment records. It includes uploaded feedback and survey comments. It includes individual rating answers only when “Let leadership see individual answers” is on for that assessment. The files stay on my device. I keep them private.
